Mary Barrett, FNP– I have lived in the Mat-Su Valley since 1987. My husband and I built a house in Chickaloon but now live in Palmer with our two cats and a big subsistence garden. I eat a vegan (plant-based) diet, make my own bread, and love to cook with our garden produce and preserve the rest for winter use. I run to and from work year round and have participated in the Boston and New York marathons as well as in many local races. I have traveled extensively in Latin America and speak Spanish which I enjoy practicing so that I can become more fluent. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing at UAA in 1991 to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I worked in urgent care in Anchorage for 13 years and then in family practice and urgent care in Palmer and Wasilla. Prior to that, I was an RN in orthopedics, burns and frostbite, and telemetry at Providence HospitaI and a public health nurse in Kotzebue, delivering health care to the villages and learning about the Inupiat culture. I am dedicated to help people adopt a healthier lifestyle so that they feel better and to help prevent chronic illness. |

Lisa Morgan, CMA– I was born in North Carolina but Alaska is my true home, as I have lived in the Mat-Su Valley for 25 years. I always wanted to be in the medical field and finally had the opportunity to return to school in 2008 to become a Certified Medical Assistant. I have four children and two beautiful grandchildren that take up most of my free time. Otherwise, my time is spent scrapbooking, gardening, baking or doing something else creative. |

Kim Jellison, Front Desk Receptionist– I am a blessed mom of two…GO COLONY KNIGHTS! And I am a proud Army wife. My favorite things to do are spending as much time with family and friends as possible. In the summer, we like to BBQ, go four-wheeling , and gardening. In the winter, we ski and snowboard. Alaska is by far the best place the Army has stationed us and we love calling this beautiful state home! |
