Health Month!
Throughout February, Summit Family is offering a comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) and a lipid panel for only $25.00.
Know your numbers! Know your blood pressure, fasting blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Routine screening is recommended for all adults, and for children between the ages of 2-10 who have family members with high blood pressure, diabetes or heart disease.
A CMP is a comprehensive metabolic panel that includes tests for diabetes, kidney and liver function, electrolytes, proteins and calcium. The lipid panel includes total cholesterol, LDL and HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
We take the results of these tests, along with your personal and family health history, and calculate your cardiac risk score, which estimates your risk of having a heart attack in the next ten years. Your lab test results, cardiac risk score and recommendations for follow-up will be mailed to you.
These blood tests are drawn after a 12 hour fast. Remember to drink plenty of water so you are not dehydrated.
